Job description
Teaching & Learning
Plan, deliver and assess engaging, differentiated lessons tailored to pupils with a range of SEN/ALN, including (but not limited to) ASD, ADHD, SEMH, MLD, SLD and communication needs
Create a safe, structured and positive learning environment that supports individual learning styles
Use a variety of teaching strategies, interventions and resources to meet pupils’ needs
Monitor, assess and record pupil progress, adapting teaching accordingly
Pupil Support
Develop and implement Individual Development Plans (IDPs) in line with the ALN Code for Wales
Support pupils’ emotional regulation, behaviour and wellbeing using trauma-informed and restorative approaches
Promote pupils’ independence, confidence and social development
