3061 Financial Controller - 6 Months

GTA area company seeks CPA controller to cover a 6 month maternity leave (with possible extension). Reports to the CEO. Growing business - launching new products and scaling - where your work makes a difference.

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Taxation and Compliance - returns, closing, SR&ED, compliance with tax regulations, accounting standards.
• Reporting and Operations - monthly closings, general ledger, AP/AR, budgeting, forecasting, margins, costs of production.
• Improving processes and supporting strategy - looking for funding.
• Leadership - helping junior staff and reporting to C‑Suite.

REQUIREMENTS:

• CPA with minimum 5 years’ experience, best in multi‑entity or manufacturing.
• Able to do reconciliations, close, report.
• In‑depth knowledge of GST/HST, ASPE, and corporate tax.
• Able to work independently and with other departments in a busy, fast‑paced environment.
