Accounting Technician
NATURE AND SCOPE
The Accounting Technician is responsible for supporting the financial operations of Thorpe Recovery Centre by performing a range of accounting and bookkeeping functions. This position maintains accurate financial records through processing accounts payable and accounts receivable, preparing and recording invoices, reconciling accounts, and completing bank deposits and other routine financial reconciliations. The role also includes payroll processing responsibilities and related reporting requirements. In addition, the Accounting Technician communicates with vendors, clients, and internal departments to resolve discrepancies and respond to financial inquiries. The position supports month‑end and year‑end processes as required and ensures all financial transactions are recorded accurately, consistently, and in accordance with organizational policies and applicable standards for a non‑profit environment.
