Acupuncturist Program Coordinator

Summary The acupuncturist may treat a wide range of conditions and acupuncture may be used alone or as an adjunct to traditional medical care. The acupuncturist includes the stimulation of specific points along the skin of the body using thin needles with or without the addition of electric stimulation. The duty location of this position is located at 2221 Martin Luther King Jr. Way; Oakland, CA 94612-1318. Responsibilities Assigned Duties The acupuncturist may use various techniques commonly taught in East Asian Medicine or Acupuncture schools. Acupuncturists will work in interdisciplinary teams and collaborate with other existing services in the health care system, e.g., physical therapy, pain management, neurology, surgery, radiology etc. Acupuncturists will accept feedback from other service providers and will consider the needs and preferences of other clinicians and existing services in the delivery of acupuncture.
