The Opportunity
Lesley University's department of Natural Sciences and Math is seeking a qualified adjunct faculty member to teach CBIOL 2202 - Genetics and Ethics on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6:45-9:45pm during the Spring semester. Fully in-person, on-campus.
Course Description: This course deals with the fundamentals of classical genetics, molecular genetics, and the genetics of the evolutionary process. Wherever possible, students will include the experimental rationale and results that have led to our present understanding of genetics. Experiments a redesigned to help students understand and appreciate research in genetics, and to develop the ability to examine and interpret experimental data. Problem sets are designed to help students with their problem-solving skills.
Qualities and Capabilities- A Master's degree in Biology (PhD preferred) with experience teaching at the undergraduate level.- Experience in constructivist inquiry-based learning
