Position Summary:
POSITION SUMMARY
North Central College invites applications for adjunct faculty to teach Special Education ( SPED ) courses within the Department of Education. Adjunct instructors are responsible for planning and delivering engaging instruction, assessing student learning, ensuring course content aligns with established standards, evaluating and grading student work, and holding office hours to support student success.
Adjunct faculty appointments are made on a course-by-course basis. This posting is intended to build a pool of qualified candidates for future teaching opportunities, as program needs vary from semester to semester. If your academic background and expertise align with departmental needs, you may be contacted to discuss available assignments. This is a non-benefits-eligible, fixed-term appointment with no tenure eligibility. The number of courses assigned will depend on departmental needs and sufficient course enrollment.
