About the job Analyst: Corporate Actuarial
- 3-year BSc or BCom with Actuarial majors
- Honours is an advantage
- Member of Actuarial Society of South Africa / Member of the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries.
- At least 6 exemptions / actuarial exam passes
- Knowledge of statistics.
- Understanding of insurance business principles.
- Understanding of balance sheet structures and capital implications.
- Knowledge of actuarial processes and control cycle (reserving, capital modelling).
- Knowledge of the insurance industry and insurance products.
- Knowledge of IFRS 17 and/or IFRS 4.
- Knowledge of the product development process.
- Specialist actuarial software package skills
- SAS statistical package (preferred), SQL (preferred).
- Actuarial processes and control cycle skills
- Reserving
- Analytical skills
