Anesthesia Technician

Responsibilities

• Preparing patients and assisting during induction, maintenance of, and recovery from anesthesia.
• Performing duties under the direct supervision of an anesthesiologist.
• Ensuring properly functioning suction equipment is on hand.
• Setting up endotracheal tubes (ET) and arranging transtracheal jet ventilation devices.
• Providing support for routine surgical cases by assisting in the preparation and maintenance of patient equipment and anesthesia delivery systems before, during, and after anesthesia.
• Stocking self‑inflating resuscitation bags, breathing circuits, and masks.
• Performing first‑level maintenance on anesthesia equipment.
• Cleansing, sterilizing, disinfecting, stocking, ordering, and maintaining routine anesthesia equipment and supplies.
