Applied Physicist or Engineer for Beam Instrumentation

Apply to join CERN as an Applied Physicist or Engineer in the Beam Instrumentation Group of the Accelerator Systems Department (SY). You will contribute to the development of state‑of‑the‑art beam diagnostic technologies for the Large Hadron Collider (LHC) during its High‑Luminosity upgrade (HL‑LHC) and support forward‑looking studies for the Future Circular Collider (FCC).

The Beam Instrumentation Group is responsible for designing, building, and maintaining instruments that allow the observation of particle beams and the measurement of related parameters for all CERN accelerators, transfer lines, and secondary beam lines. This includes systems that monitor transverse and longitudinal beam distributions for the LHC.
