Summary This position is responsible for the Department of Justice's (DOJ) real property asset management programs. Assets include land, building, and other structures which are permanent acquisitions (federally owned) or those that are temporary in nature. Responsibilities include the functions of planning, organizing, coordinating, directing, controlling, and overseeing the asset with responsibility for the results. Responsibilities The duties and responsibilities for an Architect, GS-0808-13, generally include, but are not limited to, the following: * Reviews and approves architectural features of various designs and construction documents. * Determines terms of cost, system capability, customer requirements and available technology for design projects. * Utilizes a Computer-Aided Design and Drafting (CADD) system to prepare drawings, layouts and specifications. * Develops the conceptual designs and criteria needed for complex architectural/engineering projects.
