Nature Morte, a contemporary art gallery, was originally founded in New York City’s East Village in 1982 and re-established in New Delhi in 1997 by Peter Nagy. Known for promoting challenging and experimental art forms, the gallery represents some of India’s most celebrated contemporary artists while fostering emerging talent and introducing international art to the region. Nature Morte operates two exhibition spaces in New Delhi, with its main gallery located in the Dhan Mill complex and a secondary space in Vasant Vihar. In 2024, it expanded with a new permanent gallery in Mumbai. With a history of global presence, the gallery continues to hold a prominent position in the international art scene under the ownership of co-directors Aparajita Jain and Peter Nagy.
