Job Description
Our client is seeking a Robotics & Automation Specialist to join their Design Team. This role turns client requirements into fully engineered automated machinery and robotic systems, covering the full lifecycle: concept, equipment selection, electrical design, PLC/HMI/robot programming, and commissioning support. Work spans virtually every industrial sector in Ontario.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop automation concepts, including equipment selection and control architecture (site visits as required)
- Produce electrical designs, schematics, and panel layouts for custom machinery and robotic systems
- Develop PLC, HMI, and robot programs to project standards
- Collaborate with mechanical designers, electricians, and shop personnel through build, integration, and testing
- Provide field service: troubleshooting and optimization of PLCs, HMIs, robots, VFDs, and vision systems
