Band 2 Facilities Assistant

Job Overview

We are seeking a Facilities Assistant for the Bradgate Unit within our Estates and Facilities Directorate, working 25 hours per week from 10.30 am to 3.30 pm, Monday to Friday. The role focuses on providing a patient‑focused Facilities Service (FM) in the delivery of portering, cleaning and catering. The successful candidate will enjoy a supportive environment with an emphasis on work‑life balance and flexibility.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and regenerate patient meals at ward level on a daily basis.
• Provide effective, patient‑focused cleaning and domestic service, including washing linen, to meet NHS cleanliness standards within designated patient and non‑patient areas.
• Provide appropriate portering services, including transportation of linen cages, waste bins/carts within hospital environments and patient moves from reception to departments or between departments.
