Barista

JOB SUMMARY / JOB OVERVIEW:

The Barista mans the salon's bar and is charged with preparing and serving different types of coffee and beverages to complement the café and salon service operations. He/She is trained and educated on drink selections mocktails, cocktails, hot and cold coffee, tea and other beverages. The role requires welcoming bar customers, maintaining a clean and well-stocked workstation, updating his/her knowledge of beverage preparation and presentation techniques, all in pursuit of providing customers with the highest standard of drinking and service experience.

Included in the role are greeting and warmly welcoming customers, responding to their questions, recommending the appropriate drink according to guests' preference, establishing relationships, and resolving related concerns. He or she notifies the front-of-house or operations managers of any service difficulties that cannot be handled at the bar.
