The ESRF is a world-leading international research facility for synchrotron X-ray imaging, located in a dynamic, multicultural environment in the heart of the French Alps. Beamline BM05 is dedicated to micro-CT, topography and industrial metrology, and operates in collaboration with BM18 and ID19, the high-energy beamlines for large-field 3D/4D imaging.


In this context, the Beamline Operation Manager (BLOM) plays a pivotal role in day-to-day operations—ensuring experiments are efficiently planned and executed, delivering high-quality data, and, where appropriate, harmonising procedures and tools across beamlines. The BLOM is also a key contact for academic and industrial users, translating scientific and technical needs into robust experimental protocols and providing hands-on support during beamtime.
