What will you be doing ?

Providing one to one friendship to a young carer.

Befriending a young carer is a unique opportunity to do something different and allows a volunteer to give their time in a more dedicated way to a matched young carer. They help to provide social opportunities, support and a safe adult the young carer can talk to. This can look like taking their young carer for a drink and a chat, going for a walk or on an outing related to their young carers interests.

The meetings are flexible, either weekly, biweekly or monthly depending on what works for both the volunteer and young person. Befrienders are fully trained and are have full guidance and support through the process.
