Behaviour Inclusion Assistant – Overview

Ormiston Horizon Academy is seeking to appoint a behaviour inclusion assistant.

In this role, you will be responsible for behaviour, welfare and learning while pupils are in attendance of the Academy’s internal inclusion rooms. They will work actively with pupils to re-establish expected conduct, re-engage them with learning and prepare them for a successful return back to their classes.

Responsibilities

• Supervising students: Providing a calm and focused environment for students during their internal exclusion, encouraging them to complete work, and addressing any behavioural concerns.
• Liaising with teachers: Obtaining necessary resources and information about the student's work to ensure they are kept engaged.
• Maintaining the isolation room: Ensuring the room is clean, well‑organized, and conducive to learning.
