Purpose
Reporting to the General Manager: Print Production, the Binding Operator will be responsible for administration and implementation of all Print Finishing initiatives.
Key responsibilities
- Manage and ensure accurate and timely completion of all finishing/binding work on printed products.
- Manage and ensure that the standard of quality of the finished work/s are maintained.
- Manage and ensure that all discrepancies are addressed effectively.
- Management and monitoring of staff, quality of output, time-keeping, attendance, performance management etc is maintained.
- Manage the maintenance processes and operations of the finishing equipment.
- Train new/all staff on the proper usage of the finishing equipment, techniques and technologies.
- Manager and monitor inventory levels of supplies and order new materials as needed.
- Maintain a safe, clean and organised work area.
