Biofoundry Engineer, Biotransformation and Engineering (SIFBI)
Successful candidate will be actively engaged in various research projects (some involving industrial collaborations) relating to developing a high throughput automation platform for enzymes screening or micro-organisms evolution and engineering as hosts for synthetic biology / metabolic engineering of novel pathways involved in speciality chemical synthesis for the food and consumer care sectors. Good knowledge of biological assays, molecular biology and lab automation are essential to contribute to the overall research objectives of SIFBI. He/she will provide support in the area of industry projects, synthetic biology and high throughput laboratory automation. He/she will be tasked with the day to day management of the SIFBI biofoundary facility, running of the equipment, and optimizing the automation workflows.
Requirements- Bachelor degree in Bioengineering, Chemical engineering, Bioinformatics, Biotechnology or related fields.
