We are currently seeking a Shot Firer at our Coppabella Moorvale Joint Venture (CMJV) – Coppabella Mine. Our CMJV mine complex consists of two open-cut mine operations located approximately 140 kilometres southwest of Mackay that produce premium low-volatile pulverized coal (LV-PCI) for export markets.
Duties will include:
Demonstrate safe behaviours and provide visible safe leadership to team members
Fulfill statutory Shot firer requirements at the mine
Conduct blast area controller activities as required
Audits against company standards
Magazine keeping and facilities management
About You:
Licensed Shot Firer, QLD Coal
Appointed Supervisor qualifications (S1, S2, S3, G2 or equivalent)
Experience in open cut mining operations within the coal industry
At least 4 years' experience in a blast department
