The Opportunity
The position is responsible for verifying that the materials, parts, components, services, and supplies demanded by the production process and operation are acquired at competitive prices, which meet quality standards and, in the quantities, ordered.
This through requesting price quotes, specifications, and other information necessary to make purchasing decisions. You must also monitor the performance of suppliers.
The objective of the position is to have a local point of contact in the operation from the purchasing area.
Responsabilities 
Prepares PO's per requirements of MRP/requisitions and monitors delivery of product against PO's. Sourcing/quoting requirements for goods and services required to support the operation activities.
Coordinates the return of damaged goods, replacement items, or credit arrangements and arrange for vendor corrective action and work with SQE and supplier to improve quality.
