Main job:
Pull, lay, and manage electrical cables on an Energy-from-Waste (EfW) plant new build site.
Key Responsibilities
1. Cable pulling: Pull cables through ducts, trays, or trench
2. Cable management: Label, secure, and test cables
3. Safety: Follow site rules, wear PPE, watch for hazards
4. Teamwork: Work with electricians, engineers, and riggers
5. Compliance: Meet BS 7671 wiring regs
Requirements – UK 2026
- Quals: Basic electrical awareness training
- Experience: 1-2 years cable pulling on construction sites
- Skills: Manual handling, teamwork
- Certs: CSCS card (labourer)
Typical Day
- AM: Briefing, PPE check
- Work: Pull cables, label, tidy
- PM: Report issues
