Overview
The placement student will be working with the engineering and CAD teams as a CAD technician at our subsidiary MEP design consultancy
The team is responsible for the following services:
- Mechanical building services drawings (heating/hot water/drainage/renewables/Ventilation/AC)
- Electrical building services drawings (LV/Fire/Access/BMS/Lighting/AV/IT/Lifts/Comms)
- Co‑ordination drawings
Students will be expected to complete work efficiently to meet deadlines, be flexible and adaptable in their approach, communicate with project teams, and present their work in a formal setting.
Working as a technician is a very collaborative role that requires working well with others and taking initiative when required. A base understanding and use of AutoCAD is needed; BIM/Revit experience would be a bonus but not required.
