Overview

A caretaker is responsible for maintaining and overseeing the care of properties, buildings, or facilities.

Responsibilities

• They ensure that everything is in proper working order, take care of basic maintenance tasks, and assist with any special requests made by property owners or managers. Caretakers are often required to live on-site, depending on the type of property they manage, such as residential estates, schools, or commercial buildings.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; additional certification in property management or maintenance may be an advantage.
• Prior experience in maintenance, housekeeping, or property management is often preferred.
