Job Description

• Greet customers in a friendly and professional manner.
• Scan and process items accurately using a POS (Point-of-Sale) system.
• Accept payments (cash, credit/debit cards, mobile payments) and give correct change.
• Issue receipts, refunds, or exchanges as per company policy.
• Ensure the cash drawer is balanced at the beginning and end of the shift.
• Maintain cleanliness of the checkout area.
• Assist in bagging items and managing queues during busy hours.
• Answer basic customer questions and guide them to appropriate staff if needed.
• Report any transaction issues, discrepancies, or suspicious behavior to the supervisor.
• Follow company procedures for handling returns, coupons, and discounts.
• May assist in stocking shelves or organizing products near the counter.
