Job Description Summary
A Pharmacy Technician is responsible for assisting the pharmacist as dictated by the Alabama Board of Pharmacy to provide medications safely and efficiently to our patients.
Job Description
+ Accurately and efficiently stock and maintain automated dispensing cabinets (Pyxis)
+ Maintain and rotate pharmacy inventory
+ Prepare medications for cart fill, first doses and automated dispensing cabinet (Pyxis) restocks
+ Package medications for unit dose use
+ Responsibly handle narcotics as required for automated dispensing machine (Pyxis) restocks
+ Competently answer telephone calls to the pharmacy
+ Assist pharmacist as needed
+ Other duties as assigned; help other staff members within the department or organization to complete all task required
