Job Description

To establish and implement appropriate Civil Engineering standards to ensure compliance with statutory and SAPREF requirements. Takes responsibility for providing advice, guidance, and technical support to Maintenance and Engineering staff.

Maintain the Terminal civil assets in a safe serviceable condition. Maintain a Risk Based Inspection Program and plan repair strategies and budgets accordingly. Control the expenditure of the approved budget whilst executing planned maintenance work. Comply with civil standards, ensuring their implementation and maintenance in line with best practices locally and internationally. Ensure that all civil assets meet and comply with SAPREF’s and statutory requirements. Be the focal point for all civil work including: corrosion protection applications hot and cold thermal insulation remediation of polluted soil or groundwater land surveying matters relating to properties owned or leased by the Terminal.
