Responsibilities
- Abstractcomplete and accurate diagnoses and procedures after a thorough review of day surgery records and assign appropriate ICD-10-AM and ACHI codes.
- Input data into the clinical coding system.
- Maintain patient confidentiality and data integrity at all times.
- Communicate effectively with healthcare professionals to clarify any incomplete or ambiguous documentation.
- Participate in internal coding audits and reviews.
- Maintain consistency in coding by optimizing coding output and quality.
- Monitor uncoded discharges from OAS system to achieve timely coding and meet subvention deadline.
- Work with relevant parties to resolve coding-related issues.
