CMMS & Interface Engineer for Observatory Training

Noao is looking for a Software Development Engineer I to work at the Vera C. Rubin Observatory in La Serena, Chile. This role focuses on developing backend technologies, optimizing data analysis, and training staff to use the CMMS.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering and extensive experience with Python and the CMMS software OpenMAINT. Collaboration with multidisciplinary teams is key to ensure observatory uptime and data integrity.

This position is initially for one year with potential for a permanent role.
