What your day will look like
- Manufacture, grind, regrind, repair and modify cutting tools of all kinds using numerically controlled machines
- Consult drawings and sketches of cutting tools
- Prepare tools, dress wheels manually or with the help of a CNC machine, and perform assembly
- Operate one or more machines simultaneously
- Inspect cutting tools using gauges and automated inspection machines
- Participate in the development of new processes
- Perform mathematical calculations, including using trigonometry
