COMMUNITY PLANNER

Summary You will serve as a Community Planning and Liaison Officer (CPLO) in the Public Works Department (PWD) of NAS KEY WEST. Responsibilities You will serve as the principal civilian advisor and representative for the installation on encroachment management, including community planning, land use planning and intergovernmental coordination. You will facilitate the development of land areas and planning concepts in discussions with citizen groups, governmental organizations (local, regional, state officials) and professionals (e.g., engineers, architects, lawyers, or other professionals. You will develop innovative solutions to unique land use and encroachment problems and provide expert advice and recommendations to military and community leaders. You will communicate with personnel (e.g., peers, customers, and leadership) on issues, options, and recommended solutions related to assigned community planning programs and projects.
