CONSTRUCTION CARPENTER

Roles & Responsibilities Plans and lays out work from blueprints, drawings, models, or verbal instructions using a variety of carpenter's hand tools, portable power tools, and standard measuring instruments, makes standard shop computations relating to dimensions of work, and selects materials necessary for the work Ensures and delivers an adequate supply of tools, equipment, and materials needed to complete jobs are at work sites as required Uses hand and power tools to measure, cut, and shape wood, drywall, and related materials to specification Uses hand and power tools to fabricate, install and repair solid surface materials (countertops, partitions and wall surfaces) Joins materials with nails, screws, staples, or adhesives Ensures adequate supplies of tools, equipment, and materials needed to complete jobs are at work sites as required Repairs and perform minor furniture repair
