Junior Geophysicist
Join Amentum’s Subsurface Solutions team in the Earth and Environmental Operations Area. This hybrid role involves field data acquisition, advanced processing, technical reporting, and team collaboration across engineering, geology, and environmental disciplines. You will support projects in defence, energy and environmental sectors and contribute to bid preparation, project management and technical planning.
What You’ll Do
- Field Data Acquisition:
- Lead and support geophysical surveys using ERI, GPR, EM, HVSR and other in‑house equipment.
- Provide field supervision for third‑party surveys such as MASW, 2D reflection/refraction, wireline, cross‑hole seismic and near‑shore marine surveys (offshore certification provided).
- Site Investigation:
- Assist in designing survey programmes to identify subsurface risks (voids, utilities, bedrock depth).
