About us

Wong-derful Restaurant is seeking an experienced and dedicated Chinese Cuisine Cook to join our kitchen team on a full-time basis.

This role is responsible for preparing and cooking authentic Shanghai cuisine using traditional regional cooking methods and techniques. The successful candidate will specialise in the preparation of traditional Shanghainese dishes. The role also involves maintaining food quality and consistency, supporting menu development, and training junior kitchen staff in traditional Shanghai cooking methods.

About the role

1. Prepare, season and cook a wide range of authentic Shanghai dishes using traditional regional cooking methods, including handmade xiao long bao, sheng jian bao, wontons, scallion oil noodles, braised gluten (kao fu), red-braised dishes, steamed dishes, soups, and wok-based specialty cooking
