Cost Engineer - Body

We are hiring: Project Cost Engineer – Body Systems (Automotive)We are seeking to identify three Project Cost Engineers to join the Body team supporting a leading global OEM.This role focuses on cost estimation, analysis, and optimization across key body and exterior vehicle systems.Technical Scope- Exterior (fascia, spoiler)- Body in White (BIW)- Lighting and/or Sealing, Glazing, MechanismsKey Responsibilities (Costing & Estimation)- Develop detailed should-cost models for body and exterior components and assemblies- Perform bottom-up cost analysis including materials, labor, overhead, scrap, tooling, and logistics- Analyze manufacturing processes such as stamping, welding, painting, plastic injection molding, extrusion, and assembly to identify cost drivers- Conduct supplier quotation analysis (RFQ) and validate pricing against technical assumptions- Build and maintain cost databases and parametric cost models- Support design-to-cost (DTC) and value analysis/value engineering (VA/...
