Job Description
This position performs Cost- Project Control activities and/or supervises the preparation of Cost- Project Controls activities for a Mining project. This role serves as Control Team Leader on small projects to medium projects and provides direct supervision to a small team of Cost- Project Controls personnel on a project.
Responsibilities
- As Lead Cost Specialist maintain the cost system and provide required reports
- Analyze variances in cost and schedule performance against the plan, and communicate the reasons for the issuance of variance and proposed mitigation plans to Project Management
- Provide direction and guidance on recasting of Class 2/3 Estimate into Cost Control base
- Develop and implement cost related work processes and procedures as required
- Provide direction and focus to all project cost control and change management efforts
