Position: Intermodal Dispatcher
Compensation: $21.00-$25.50 per hour
Schedule: Monday- Friday 8am-5pm
Job Description:
The Intermodal Dispatcher is responsible for the planning, scheduling, and dispatching of our customer's freight. The role owns the relationship with our valued Independent Contractors and is instrumental in the successful coordination of the accurate delivery of goods in a timely fashion. The key responsibilities of this function are to provide exceptional support to our drivers, be quick to respond to questions and troubleshooting concerns and to pro-actively monitor the movement of freight to ensure customer satisfaction.
Core Responsibilities & Duties:
+ Ability to multi-task and prioritize situations in a fast-paced environment (load-planning/dispatching)
+ Communicate with drivers to prioritize loads, define routes, and set schedules
+ Monitor containers to prevent demurrage and storage fees
