Key Responsibilities

Deburring and Post-Processing

  • Utilize hand tools including files, grinders, and deburring knives to remove burrs and sharp edges from additively manufactured metal components in materials such as aluminum, titanium, steel, and nickel-based alloys.
  • Operate mechanical deburring equipment including blasters, vibratory finishers, and grinding machines to smooth and polish component surfaces to required specifications.
  • Remove support structures from additively manufactured parts in accordance with work instructions and engineering requirements, ensuring components are not damaged during the process.
  • Select and apply appropriate deburring techniques based on part geometry, material type, and specified surface finish requirements.
