Designer/Engineer

Job Function: To design water distribution, storm and sanitary sewer, and road systems for residential and industrial subdivisions, municipal reconstruction projects and site plans and to provide related plans.

Department Function: To provide professional engineering designs, drawings, reports, and specifications.

Responsibilities:

• Plans and organizes the design and drafting of engineering drawings for municipal servicing and road reconstruction projects, environmental assessments, etc, in accordance with Project Managers’ specifications and established work-hour budgets.
• Provides input regarding design and drafting budgets for proposal preparation.
• Calculates pipe sizes, drainage areas, road and area grades, distribution networks, appurtenances placement and earth work quantities. Makes revisions as instructed by the Project Manager and/or regulatory and municipal officials.
