The primary purpose of this position is: To serve as a detective to conduct investigations of crimes and complaints allegedly committed by military and civilian personnel on the installation and within the local jurisdiction of the Security Forces Squadron. Responsibilities Conducts investigations of crimes and complaints covering a wide range of subjects and allegations that are not within the scope of Air Force Office of Special Investigations (AFOSI), as determined by the Security Forces Squadron (SFS) and AFOSI detachment commanders and described in AF Instructions. Serves as liaison to, coordinates with, and assists other investigating agencies to include local, federal, and military on issues concerning investigations affecting the base.
