Role: Developing Highways Support Officer Section 38/278 REF

Contract Length: 6 months

Location: Hybrid/ Shropshire - 1 day per week in Shrewsbury as may require site visits to development sites.

Responsibilities of the Developing Highways Support Officer

• Process and oversee applications for proposed agreements under S38 and S278 of the Highways Act 1980.
• Oversee detailed technical assessments of development related highway works proposed for agreements under S38 and S278 of the Highways Act 1980.
• Use professional judgement and other resources as appropriate to review and approve designs by third parties for making alterations or additions to the council’s highway network.
