**Description:** The Weapons Chief Engineer serves as the technical liaison for the F‑35 Chief Engineer’s Office, delivering cross‑disciplinary expertise and support for all weapons systems to U.S., partner nation, and FMS customers while safeguarding the technical integrity of the F‑35 Air System. The Chief Engineer advises the Program Manager on integration schedules, assesses technical risks, and chairs key gate reviews such as SRR, SFR, PDR, and CDR. The position also provides on‑site technical oversight for Weapons Technical Interchange Meetings, Integrated Baseline Reviews, Technical Readiness Reviews, Integrated Product Reviews, and risk‑mitigation sessions, and supports the development, testing, integration, and certification of weapons and armament. Collaboration with International Chief Engineers ensures partner‑nation weapon certification.
