Development Engineer

Job Description

A large role player within the Renewable industry is currently in search of a Development Engineer. Our client is a reputable international firm, with offices in Cape Town and Johannesburg.

Minimum requirements:

•BEng, BSc Engineering degree or significant technical training or experience in the electrical engineering field,

•Significant experience in the South African energy industry either as a technical advisor, Development Engineer, a Developer or Consultant,

•Experience within a technical department at ESKOM,

•Experience in renewable project design and optimisation,

•Experienced in developing and negotiating contracts including, construction contracts, grid connection agreements and power purchase agreements

•Knowledge of the roles and responsibilities of Lender’s, Owner’s Engineers, Lender’s Engineer, and contractors
