Job Summary

The JROTC instructor provides leadership for the Anchorage School District JROTC program. This position requires a valid Alaska teaching or type M certificate. The position has a retirement association with the Alaska Teachers' Retirement System (TRS).

Job Requirements
The following is required:

An Alaska type M teaching certificate.

 If the instructor is enlisted, a high school graduate or equivalent based on a state-issued certificate of GED test is required. Preference will be given to college graduates with other qualifications, to the same degree as other applicants.If the instructor is an officer, a bachelor's degree or higher is required. This qualification may be waived for a period of 4 years from the time of initial hire, if Anchorage School District authorities agree, while the instructor works toward obtaining a bachelor's degree.
