Direct Material Sr Buyer

Job purposeThe Direct Buyer Sr is responsible for managing the direct production materials contract for the Reynosa Mexico Plant, will also assist in managing commodity strategies designed to leverage BorgWarner's collective buying power and maximize synergistic opportunities to optimize supplier performance, reduce total supply costs and meet our technology expectations throughout the supply chain.Key responsibilities:- Responsible for managing all commercial aspects with supply base.
- Lead the RFQ and supplier selection process for new launch programs- Achieve cost reduction and performance objectives in line with existing strategies- Work in alignment with Production Control and Logistics to resolve supplier shortage/delivery issues.
- Lead negotiations of basic supplier agreements- Identify and mitigate supply chain risks- Work with Global Commodity Managers to develop and execute commodity strategies at local plant level.
