Director – HV Cable System Design
Jacobs is seeking a Principal Cable System Engineer to support a range of high‑profile projects across our Power & Energy portfolio in the UK and Continental Europe, including high voltage AIS and GIS Substations, transmission system assets, HVDC interconnectors, and energy storage systems.
Responsibilities
- Develop HV/EHV cabling systems specifications, concept and detailed design, conduct design reviews, estimation, and site supervision and support as required.
- Provide technical support to the team on all aspects of HV cable system engineering and design.
- Prepare plant and equipment technical specifications, power cable route specifications, tender specifications, technical and progress reports.
- Ensure correct and accurate interface with other engineering functions, attend and conduct internal and external meetings with clients and subcontractors.
