Distribution & logistics planning manager

Job Purpose

Manage all orders and efficiently plan all customers’ local deliveries (DC collections, DC deliveries, customer deliveries, export deliveries), to ensure full compliance to all Customer Standard Operating Procedures and statutory OSH Act requirements and within the agreed budget.

Strategic imperatives that inform the role To provide a stretching, achievable daily plan that allows the business to deliver on its contracted 4 PL objectives (operational delivery and cost optimisation) for the Client. To hold any parties accountable for non-delivery against the plan, and to be perceived as an impartial 3rd party between the site and transporters on operational matters. To ensure an efficient systematic approach to ensure that the process encompassing the delivery of goods to Customers is done properly keeping in mind which goods are to be supplied in what quantity at what location in the desired time.
