Doctoral student (part-time) at Aalto

Role Description

Finnish is preferred with first pripority. The self‑funded part‑time Doctoral Student at Aalto University will conduct independent and supervised research leading to a doctoral degree, including designing studies, collecting and analyzing data, and publishing results in academic venues. The candidate needs to obtain the consent from employer for this part‑time study. Daily tasks include researvh and development on cement and concrete, engaging with supervisors and collaborators, and contributing to R&D development. The doctoral student will support teaching and supervision activities where appropriate, such as assisting in courses, mentoring students, or contributing to departmental seminars. The role is hybrid, based in the Helsinki Metropolitan Area, with regular presence on campus in Espoo and flexibility for some remote work.
