Job Description- Perform cleaning, high-level disinfection, and reprocessing of endoscopes using Automated Endoscope Reprocessors (AER)
- Conduct daily cleaning of worktables, AER machines, flushing pumps, and leak testers
- Prepare scopes according to procedure schedules
- Inspect, perform leak tests, and manually clean used endoscopes
- Load scopes into AER and initiate reprocessing cycles
- Monitor and evaluate AER test indicators
- Dry and properly store scopes in designated cabinets
- Maintain inventory of endoscopes and disinfectants
- Track and monitor microbiological surveillance of scopes
- Report faulty equipment or scopes to the supervising nurse
