Lift & Escalator Inspector (LEI)
Requirements- The inspectors shall be competent and are a registered Lift and Escalator Inspector (LEI) with a valid practicing certificate.
- The inspectors must have sufficient relevant experience in their scope of inspection, for example in lift control, safety components, type testing and maintenance outcome requirements.
- To develop inspection and testing SOP and reporting templates associated with lifts and escalators.
- To establish and oversee the implementation of procedures for Examination, Inspection, and Testing (EIT), as well as Examination, Inspection, Testing, and Commissioning (EITC), in support of Permit to Operate (PTO) renewal applications.
